Hello and welcome to the forum.

This was made because it felt as though it was necessary to have a place dedicated just to aromantics... thus, we are here. For all the needs we can help you with.

Be nice. Enjoy yourself.

Non-aromantics are welcome as friends, allies, people who want to learn and ask questions, but mostly for aromantics - we need our places.

Hello again and I hope this becomes a warm hub for us all.

And what do YOU mean by aromantics? E.g., Almagest wrote, "Aromantic is simply the lack of romantic attraction. Period. It's not about hand-holding, kissing, or having a romantic relationship. It's just about attraction." (http://aromantics.forum-motion.net/t25-aromanticism-is-not-about-relationships) Are you of the same opinion, or do you include here unwillingness to waste money Neutral as well?

If we agree with Almagest, it would be nice to define romantic attraction. Perhaps what some people think of it is about average behaviour patterns from silly films, ads and songs, not about patterns of attraction suitable for them. "I don't eat meat", said a lion looking at a piece of cat's food patented as "Real Meat". And made a forum for real vegetarians.

From my discussions about aromanticism on AVEN, I've discovered that my view is in the minority. It's unfortunate that people like to define orientations based on behavior or what people would/would not like to do.

Yes I pretty much agree with Almagest's definition - that it's a lack of romantic attraction. Basically the exact same as asexuality being a lack of sexual attraction.

I always thought that was the definition.
